Welcome to our website
The Guy's and St. Thomas' Sailing Club was established in 1982 by Professor Peter Sonksen. It was formed following amalgamation of the 2 medical school campuses (UMDS), when membership of the highly successful St. Thomas' Hospital Sailing Club was opened to staff and students at Guy's Hospital.
These days membership is open to all graduates of the various incarnations of Guy's and St. Thomas' Medical Schools, and both doctors in training and the consultant body at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals.

Sailing activity currently focuses on the Annual Seaview Regatta. However, with close links to both the Royal Ocean Racing Club and The Little Ship Club, the club's future aim is to facilitate participation in offshore racing, inshore racing, and cruising as well as offer access to land-based courses. We are also keen to document the history of sailing at both hospitals and welcome any anecdotes, information and photographs that we can add to the site.
